You can be festive and frugal this holiday season

Share the spirit of the season while managing your energy costs.

  • When using your oven, check cooking progress by looking through the window. Opening the oven door for even a few seconds lowers the temperature inside by as much as 25℉F.
  • Turn off the oven early. Your oven’s insulation will allow your food to continue cooking with the remaining heat.
  • Lower your thermostat. Keeping your thermostat at 66 to 68 degrees keeps guests comfortable and save 1 to 3% on heating costs for every 1 degree you lower it.

Natural gas pipe maintenance is essential

Natural gas that’s used in your home is transported by a network of underground pipelines. These pipelines are the safest and most reliable way to transport natural gas. We work hard to maintain and test our natural gas pipelines.

However, we do not maintain natural gas piping beyond the meter. You are responsible for that piping, which includes piping that extends from the meter to the house or any other building, gas grill, pool, heater, etc.
