Purpose - Michigan Gas Utilities' facilities and equipment distribute natural gas to communities and homes, and measure gas usage.

Dangers - Physical harm, service outages, fires.

Prevention:

• Stay away from utility gate stations, line markers and meters.
• If you think something is wrong with a piece of utility equipment, call the utility company immediately.

Emergency:

• Call Michigan Gas Utilities.
• Call 911 or emergency help if victims or fire are involved.

Safety Tips:

• Call Michigan Gas Utilities if you think something is wrong with any piece of utility equipment.
• Report damaged or vandalized equipment to us at once.
• Never enter a fenced-in utility area. If you see an unlocked gate, call the utility at once.
