Converting to Natural Gas
Switching to natural gas is easy and the investment you make will quickly be recovered through the savings you'll see.
Following are a few of the steps you may experience when you request to connect natural gas to your business:
- Service Line Installation - MGU provides a portion of the service line — the gas pipe that runs between the gas main and meter. If additional portions of service line are needed, you will be responsible for the charge. Contact MGU to discuss your options and costs. Call 800-401-6402 for service.
- Re-piping, correcting safety hazards and converting appliances to natural gas - MGU is very safety and code conscious. We encourage you to select a contractor who follows all code requirements when converting to natural gas.
- Heating Equipment Estimates - MGU suggests getting two or three furnace estimates when considering the replacement of your furnace.
